Nee, ik word geenszins betaald om reclame te maken maar ik ben zo oprecht tevreden over de A320 type rating dat ik ervan overtuigd ben dat we ook van deze PPL cursus heel wat kunnen leren.

Hoe installeren we de sim, hoe installeren we scenery en vliegtuigen. Waarom vliegt een vliegtuig, hoe doe je dit. Uitleg over de instrumenten, luchtvaartregels, navigatie en radiocommunicatie. En zo voort...

The Avro RJ100 and Belgium share a long and fruitful history together. Having served about twenty years for Delta Air Transport (Sabena), SN Brussels Airlines and later on Brussels Airlines, this aircraft type has transported millions of people through Europe. At the end of October Brussels Airlines will operate its last commercial flight with this iconic jet, which will mark the end of its phase out program.

The BeLux division wants to put this end of an era in the spotlights. In cooperation with the France, Italian, Nordic and Swiss divisions we invite you to the Avro RJ100 Farewell Fly-in. Five typical and challenging airports, all of which have been served by the Avro's in real life, have been selected for this event. Depart from one of them and bring your RJ100 (or similar) back to Brussels for a last time!

Event date: Tuesday 24 October 2017
Time frame: 1700z - 2000z
Origins: ESSB, LFKC, LFKJ, LIRQ, LSGG
Destination: EBBR

PILOTS
Please visit our BOOKING SYSTEM to choose a departing slot from Ajaccio, Calvi, Florence, Geneva or Stockholm Bromma. Keep in mind that only booked flights are guaranteed an arrival into Brussels. Depending on the traffic non-booked flights might have to divert to an airport in the vicinity.

Pilots are encouraged to fly the Avro RJ100 during this event, however any civil jet aircraft in wake turbulence category 'medium' will be accepted. Keep in mind though that some departing airports might be performance limiting for the aircraft of your choice.

Once your booking is completed, you will receive a confirmation email with your flight details and pilot briefings. In order to avoid confusion, make sure to read these documents carefully and check the latest procedures and charts. You will do yourself, other pilots and controllers a big favor.

Completed flights will be rewarded with one point for the BeLux Pilot Event Award. Additionally one point can be earned for the Pilot Event Award of the divisions managing one or more of the following origin airports: Ajaccio, Calvi, Florence or Geneva. Please report your flight using the applicable link.

The ATC schedule for positions in the BeLux division will be managed by the ATC Operations Department. Please visit the ATC REQUEST PAGE to apply for one or more positions. Applications will be closed on Friday 20 October 2017 at 17z. The schedule will be released and sent to you by email on Sunday 22 October 2017 at 17z.

Controllers will be rewarded with one point for the BeLux ATC Event Award.

Iedereen kan dan eens achter de gordijnen en kijkje nemen op verschillenden Luchthaven en vliegvelden

Ik zelf ( FSCB  ) sta  in Antwerpen  in het Museum van stampen vertongen. Voor deze gelegenheid is het ingang van museum GRATIS meer zelfs  er zijn rondleidingen voorzien.

Wie het wilt kan in onze cockpit een circuit vliegen. Wie hierin slaagt krijgt een verassing.

Verder kan ook de hangar bezocht worden waar ze de oude vliegtuigen restaureren, door de befaamde Raymond Kuypers. Buiten staan de toestellen van de 1ste wereld oorlog opgesteld en klaar om de motoren te starten.

Wie lid wordt van de vzw FSCB krijgt op de luchtvaartdag een korting van 5 €.


Feel the Sky
Vrij door de lucht vliegen: daar droomt toch iedereen van?
Feel the Sky maakt die droom waar. Bij ons kun je terecht voor luchtdopen met een oldtimertweedekker van het type Stampe Vertongen SV4 (open cockpit). Je kunt kiezen tussen een rustige rondvlucht of een adembenemende stuntvlucht.

INTRODUCTION
The BeLux Region is pleased to present you their next event called "Brussels Real Flight Event". 
It will take place on Sunday, the 26th of February, 2017 from 11z to 20z.
Every ATC position will be staffed in order to simulate the same environment as it would be in real life around Brussels.
We expect everybody to have a look at the route they intend to use and then double check with the charts 
so they're aware of what they may be asked to do.


AS A PILOT
Book your flight at our RFE website.

Park yourself at the stand given the flight registration mail. 
(we are aware of some problems with the stand system, 
however we cannot change anything to this anymore) 
It is recommended to fly the published routes as well so they are NMOC validated. 
In the case you picked a transatlantic flight, a suggested route will be suggested still 
and you will merely need to pick the NAT of the day to make it correct.
All information regarding to the airport and the Brussels airspace can be found on the FIR page of our division.
NOTE: Non booked flights departing FROM Brussels will be subject to delay as much as necessary. 
Full priority will be given to real flights as this is the purpose of such an event. In the case you expect to fly TO Brussels, 
the same policy will apply. There are also high chances you get diverted to a regional airport such as 
Ostend or Liege within the Brussels FIR if the on going traffic load is too high.


CANCELLATION OF A FLIGHT
The only way to do it is by sending an e-mail to xb-eac|at|ivao.aero 
as soon as you know you may not attend the booking so the slot is set to pending again.  
Set only “Cancel RFE flight” as topic to your mail! Specify the flight in your text.


CHARTS:
Ensure you have looked at the CHARTS prior to departing and or arriving.

FSX freeware
X-plane freeware



AWARDS:
As a sign of gratitude towards those who fly inbound and or outbound our Real Flight Event, you will be rewarded with:

The XB Division of IVAO will issue the Aviation Celebration Tours Award to everyone who is flying one or more flights 
from our present time table with a total flight time of at least 3hrs or two flights whichever is greater. 
In order to receive the award, pilots should report all flights by using the event reporting form.

Background
7 November is a date which is carved in the memory of every Belgian aviation fan.  It is the date that the former national airline SABENA was declared bankrupt.  It was a history that started on 23 May 1923 and lasted for 78 years until 2001.  With the bankruptcy  of Sabena, Delta Air Transport restarted the
European flights of Sabena and merged together with Virgin Express to start the new company which  we still know today as Brussels Airlines.
Flights and Routes
Sabena had a lot of destinations which were served from the hub of Brussels Airport (back in the days
better known as Zaventem).  For this event we will bring the old SAB callsign back to live!  All pilots are to fly with SABXXX
with XXX being a number our a letter.  Since SAB is dedicated to another airline these days, put in your remark CS/SABENA,
that way the controller knows your callsign!
The last most popular European destinations are to be found on this website in the "destinations" section.
If you have troubles on finding the correct routing for your flight, you can always check the IVAO database to help you.
If you have any other program to help you with your routing, don't be afraid to use it!
Charts and scenery
The charts are to be found at our FIR page.  Copy them, print them or memorize them, but most of all USE THEM!

Rewards
For every reported flight you make as a pilot, you will receive 1 point for the Pilot event Award.
Fill out the pilot form and you will receive a manual reply with your current score on the list.
There is no need to book any flight, any flight you take is at your own free will!
All ATC participating in our event will receive 2 points for the ATC event award, only if they
report their controlling session via the ATC form.
The ATC request will be released on our website, with all instructions how to apply.

Background
7 November is a date which is carved in the memory of every Belgian aviation fan.  It is the date that the former national airline SABENA was declared bankrupt.  It was a history that started on 23 May 1923 and lasted for 78 years until 2001.  With the bankruptcy  of Sabena, Delta Air Transport restarted the
European flights of Sabena and merged together with Virgin Express to start the new company which  we still know today as Brussels Airlines.
Flights and Routes
Sabena had a lot of destinations which were served from the hub of Brussels Airport (back in the days
better known as Zaventem).  For this event we will bring the old SAB callsign back to live!  All pilots are to fly with SABXXX
with XXX being a number our a letter.  Since SAB is dedicated to another airline these days, put in your remark CS/SABENA,
that way the controller knows your callsign!

If you have troubles on finding the correct routing for your flight, you can always check the IVAO database to help you.
If you have any other program to help you with your routing, don't be afraid to use it!

The charts are to be found at our FIR page.  Copy them, print them or memorize them, but most of all USE THEM!

Rewards
For every reported flight you make as a pilot, you will receive 1 point for the Pilot event Award.
Fill out the pilot form and you will receive a manual reply with your current score on the list.
There is no need to book any flight, any flight you take is at your own free will!
All ATC participating in our event will receive 2 points for the ATC event award, only if they
report their controlling session via the ATC form.
The ATC request will be released on our website, with all instructions how to apply.

Brussels Overload – Saturday 15th of October – 1300Z-1900Z

Belux vACC is proud to present its fourth edition of the Brussels Overload event.

Brussels is known as the capital of Europe and serves as main hub for all European Union delegates. It mainly offers flights to Europe and Africa but also offers flights to North America and Asia.

Just like last time it’s all about the pilot’s choice. More than 140 slots will become available for booking. You can fly any aircraft from/to anywhere you want. Just book your slot and you are good to go!

We will be hosting 6 hours of continued ATC coverage for Brussels (EBBR) and Brussels FIR (EBBU) from 1300UTC to 1900UTC on Saturday 15th of October 2016, as well as coordinating with adjacent FIRs and airports to ensure you a flight you will never forget.
Whether you like to fly short haul flights within Europe or long haul flights across the world, Brussels Overload is the event for you!

Adding to the excitement is the fact that all ATC controllers will be controlling from the same room.
