problem with FS X on windows 7 - naval33 - 05-08-2012

Hello !

I'm a french person living in Bordeaux. I am using FS X and récently have switched to windows 7 and since then, I have no more the dialogs with the tower and FS does'nt run very fine.

Having found your club, I wonder if anyone could give me a hand in solving this pb.which is most confusing while I want to start a flight.

By the way, I have an other pb : I have downloaded some planes from RIKOO's site and when pointing them out FS 7 I get only part of the plane, the rest is not appearing... what is the pb and how can I solve this ?

Thanks a lot for the memebers, who will help me solving my "sorrow", and would like to find such a structurated club in m surrounding, here in France.

best regards

Michel

Hi,naval33 Michel.

About your plane from RIKOO's,where do you put them ?

I hope its in " SimObjects - Airplanes " because I have checkt some of his plane and there where no prblm.

Your prblm for the win7 ,whe all use (most) the FSX in win7 without prblm.

I think somebody else will help you further.

Hi ! Silverfox,
Thanks for your reply, but it does not solve my pb. Especially concerning the lack of radio communication with control when starting FS X thus there is nos possibility to fly under instrument rules. I can believe that somme people have no particular problem under Windows 7, ....but I have and I would like to get infos how to solve that bug..

For RIKOO,I will chech where my files are laid..

ind regards

Michel

Hallo Michel,

The installation of FSX, especially with W7, requires a certain attention.

-DISABLE the UAC Windows 7 security program temporarely before installing FSX.
-Never install FSX the 'normal' way in "ProgramFiles".
-Always use another destination like: C:\Microsoft FSX\

For me this is the ultimate FSX tuning 'bible':

Hello,
i had problems with windows 7 fsx too,
download uiautomationcore.dll at http://www.robbonline.se/ and click on flight simulator x problem with windows 7. Place the .dll file into your fsx directory and overwrite the previous file. I hope this helps for you.

With kind regards,
