When I tried to run FSX + FSX Acceleration (with no added sceneries) in Windows 8 all seemed OK until I opened FSX and selected a free flight and pressed the Fly button. As soon as I did that FSX froze. So far I have not been able to run it. I will continue trying (run it in compatiblity mode for example) to see if that solves the problem. I'm also waiting for feedback from other flight simmers about it but also about the other add-ins I use such as AEHDX Airport Enhancer, FS Flying School Pro, Logitech G940 Flight System, etc. Anything can cause problems including the G940 Logitech Flight System so for each one we need to check that we have a W8 compatible software or driver. For me it's still too early to decide switching to W8 but at least I bought the license at the cheap price before our friend Bill multiplied it by5 or 6
